From the Introduction:
"This report summarizes the assessment work carried out in the Duteau Creek watershed under the Watershed Restoration Program (Contract No. KA-34-96-011W). The watershed is situated on the western flank of the Monashee Mountain Range southeast of the Village of Lumby in the Vernon Forest District (refer to map). The watershed has an area of 19 100 ha. Duteau Creek is a community watershed under license to the North Okanagan Water Authority. It is tributary to Bessette Creek, a salmon and resident fish stream which is tributary to the Shuswap River.

Field surveys conducted as part of the Duteau Creek Watershed Restoration Project were completed in the summer of 1995 by Dobson Engineering Ltd. and included six assessments.The results of the assesments are presented in the following two report volumes:

Volume One: Results of the Level I Interior Watershed Assessment Procedure

  • Results of the Gully Assessment Procedure
  • Results of the Channel Assessment Procedure
  • Results of the Riparian Vegetation Assessment
  • Results of Water Quality Monitoring
